We transformed this under-utilised area of the garden at this Northern Beaches home into a fantastic outdoor entertaining area complete with functional outdoor kitchen and gas BBQ.
The first step was to pave the new area (it was previously just grass) and put up the new timber framework. Next, we added the roof and ceiling over the outdoor kitchen area, and pergola roof over the rest of the area and roof guttering. A privacy screen was added behind the outdoor kitchen.
Installation of a new gas-strut servery window
We cut and installed a new servery window (concession / gas-strut window) into the adjacent brick wall that giving convenient and direct access to the kitchen.
Next, we installed the outdoor kitchen with integrated gas BBQ. Our plumber had to run new hot and cold water pipes, gas plumbing (for the BBQ) and drainage. Our electrician did the wiring and installed dimmer downlights in the ceiling above the kitchen.
With a growing family, the addition of this large, functional outdoor area was a welcome addition for this growing, multi-generation family.
